The National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP) is committed to providing the most accessible reading, listening, and visually inclusive experience regardless of disability, network speed, or device. We will continue to strive and improve our services and website features.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. There are three levels of conformance: Level A (basic), Level AA (intermediate), and Level AAA (advanced). Elevation seeks to conform with WCAG 2.0 at conformance level AA as this is the most frequently adopted standard by governments around the world (read more) and is also the conformance level recommended by many accessibility auditing agencies (such as the Bureau of Internet Accessibility).
We are committed to continuous improvement so that we may increase our compliance level over time as we learn and grow, aiming to eventually conform with the most current WCAG standard (version 2.2, released in September 2022). We additionally will preferentially purchase apps and third party tools that meet or exceed our web accessibility policy. Policy Scope This policy applies to all new, updated, and existing web content on https://www.elevationweb.org/ as well as all websites prepared for Elevation clients. It also applies to all internally developed and third party technologies used in the creation of said websites. This policy does not yet include content provided internally on the Elevation Intranet. It also does not cover client-generated content.
