The activities of the NCAFP are sustained by members, foundations, and corporations who believe that dialogue and education are essential to addressing today’s foreign policy challenges.

Funders

The National Committee on American Foreign Policy, Inc. is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit Section 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the resolution of conflicts that threaten U.S. interests. Together with its programs, including the Forum on Asia-Pacific Security (collectively referred to as “NCAFP”), it is supported through a diversity of funding sources: individual and corporate membership dues; donations from members and non-members; endowments; grants and donations from foundations, corporations/businesses and government entities. In keeping with its nonprofit and nonpartisan status, the NCAFP carries out its programs in a balanced and impartial manner.

The NCAFP seeks funding from known and reputable U.S. and foreign foundations, individual donors, corporations/businesses and select government entities. Knowledge of the donor is critical to good governance of the NCAFP. In keeping with past practice and its commitment to intellectual independence and objectivity, the NCAFP does not solicit or accept funds from donors that seek to influence the outcome of the programs funded or the manner in which they are carried out. The NCAFP endeavors to ensure that all funding complies with applicable U.S. laws, regulations, controls and sanctions and that all solicitations and donations preserve the NCAFP’s objectivity, independence and commitment to advancing American foreign policy interests. The NCAFP also evaluates whether grants and donations are appropriate and beneficial when received, weighing all relevant facts and circumstances.

Foundations support our project work through short-term and long-term grants.
