The Korean Peninsula at a Strategic Crossroads: Reimagining Security and Statecraft

April 2026

The NCAFP organized its fourth cohort of Next-Generation Korean Peninsula Specialists from all over the world to develop and share their analysis on challenges on the Korean Peninsula. These policy professionals and scholars spent the last nine months networking with their peers, meeting with mentors, participating in professional development workshops, and writing policy papers on key issues related to Korean Peninsula security. This new Edited Volume, The Korean Peninsula at a Strategic Crossroads: Reimagining Security and Statecraft, compiles their policy papers on a range of topics related to issues involving the Korean Peninsula and U.S. policy toward Korea and in the Asia-Pacific region. They cover proposals for migration policy, suggestions for engagement with the DPRK, institutional reform, and a range of other issues.
