NCAFP’s 2025 Northern Ireland Emerging Leaders

Announcing NCAFP’s 2025 Northern Ireland Emerging Leaders

December 15, 2024

The NCAFP is excited to launch the second year of our Northern Ireland Emerging Leaders program, a mentorship initiative that empowers community leaders from Northern Ireland to develop innovative solutions promoting peace, reconciliation, and sustainable development, while strengthening transatlantic relations.

Building on the success of its inaugural year, this year’s program has expanded to include additional leaders who share a common vision for a more prosperous and peaceful Northern Ireland. Our cohort now features twelve exceptional community leaders and scholars, whose names and affiliations are listed below.

Over the next six months, these emerging leaders will develop policy proposals on issues such as human rights, government reform, the arts as a tool for peacebuilding, increasing women’s participation in politics, rural youth development, healthcare reform, and more. With support from NCAFP’s network of mentors—comprising former government officials, leading scholars, and experts—these leaders will transform their ideas into actionable policy recommendations that aim to create a brighter future for the people of Northern Ireland and beyond.

At the conclusion of the program, the cohort will present their ideas at a conference in New York City in May 2025.
