Ray Eason Treasurer

Ray Eason is an Executive Director in the Corporate and Investment Bank division of JP Morgan, helping clients finance sizable loan portfolios ($500 million to $1 billion) with both short- and long-term funding and/or investment objectives.  Ray also currently volunteers as the Chief Financial Officer of the Harvard Business School Club of Greater New York, as well as, serving as the finance chairman on the board of STEM Teachers NYC and as the Co-President of the Harvard Business School African American Alumni Association.    Prior to his eight years at JP Morgan, Ray was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley where he worked for eleven years in the Fixed Income Division, Sales and Trading.  Prior to Morgan Stanley, Ray served our nation for eight years as a finance officer in the United States Army (with command assignments to the 101st Airborne Division, deployments to Haiti and South Korea, as well as his previous selection as a mathematics faculty member at West Point).

Over the course of his career, Ray has advised and structured approximately $210 billion of financial transactions for both government and corporate clients.  Ray is responsible for structuring and modeling strategic securitizations for primary issuance, secondary trading and analysis of aircraft leasing deals, student loan transactions (FFELP, consolidated, and private loans) utility stranded costs financings, and deals involving other esoteric securitized assets. Ray works extensively with institutional investors, co-lead banks & syndicate desks, issuers and rating agencies in completing transactions, including optimization of every aspect of debt financing and credit enhancement as well as residual valuation and yield analysis.  Ray’s desk provides quantitative and analytical support to facilitate deal marketing in conjunction with the capital market coverage business as well as solidifying investment banking relationships. 

Ray received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from West Point (Class of 1994), two Masters of Science degrees from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar (1994-1996), and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School (Class of 2004).    Ray Eason is married to Adrienne Eason-Wheatley, who is a graduate of Princeton University, Harvard Kennedy School, and Harvard Law School and who is now senior managing counsel at Bank of New York Mellon.  They have one son, Raymond Eason III.
